Call for Nominations for the National Historic Oregon Trail 
Interpretive Center Advisory Board

AGENCY: National Historic Oregon Trail Interpretive Center, Vale 
District, Bureau of Land Management, Interior.

ACTION: Call for nominations on the National Historic Oregon Trail 
Interpretive Center Advisory Board.

SUMMARY: The purpose of this notice is to solicit nominations for 
vacancies on the National Historic Oregon Trail Interpretive Center 
Advisory Board. Oregon residents with an interest in developing and 
providing advice pertinent to the management of the Oregon Trail 
Interpretive Center are encouraged to apply. Individuals selected will 
serve a 2-year term on the Advisory Board that will run through August 
2001.
    All nominations must be accompanied by letters of reference from 
represented interests and organizations, a completed background

information nomination form, as well as any other information that 
speaks to the nominee's qualifications. All nominations must be 
received by no later than close of business June 25. The Bureau of Land 
Management, along with the Governor's Office, will forward the 
nominations to the Secretary of the Interior, who will make the 
appointments to the Advisory Board.
    The National Historic Oregon Trail Interpretive Center's Advisory 
Board was established and authorized in 1997 by the Secretary of the 
Interior to provide advice and recommendations to the Bureau of Land 
Management on the management of the Interpretive Center.
