Notice of Receipt of Petition for Decision That Nonconforming 
1998 and 1999 Lexus RX300 Multi-Purpose Passenger Vehicles Are Eligible 
for Importation; Correction

AGENCY: National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), DOT.

ACTION: Correction to notice of receipt of petition for decision that 
nonconforming 1998 and 1999 Lexus RX300 multi-purpose passenger 
vehicles (MPVs) are eligible for importation.

SUMMARY: This document corrects a notice published, April 19, 1999 (64 
FR 19212) announcing receipt by NHTSA of a petition for a decision that 
1998 and 1999 Lexus RX300 MPVs that were not originally manufactured to 
comply with all applicable Federal motor vehicle safety standards are 
eligible for importation into the United States. The notice incorrectly 
identified the docket number for this petition as ``Docket No. NHTSA-
99-5403.'' The docket number should have been properly identified as 
``Docket No. NHTSA-99-5503.'' Those intending to comment on the 
petition should ensure that they reference the correct docket number in 
their comments.
