Codes and Standards: IEEE National Consensus Standard; Correction

AGENCY: Nuclear Regulatory Commission.

ACTION: Final rule: Correction.

SUMMARY: This document corrects a final rule appearing in the Federal 
Register on April 13, 1999 (64 FR 17944), that incorporates by 
reference IEEE Std. 603-1991, a national consensus standard for power, 
instrumentation, and control portions of safety systems in nuclear 
power plants. This action is necessary to correct an erroneous 
reference.

EFFECTIVE DATE: The final rule is effective on May 13, 1999.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: On page 17946, in the third column, in the

from the top ``Std. 279-1971'' should be corrected to read ``Std. 
279.''
