ACTION: Proposed rule. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- SUMMARY: On August 7, 1998, the Commission released a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) addressing deployment of wireline services offering advanced telecommunications capability. The NPRM is intended to obtain comment on how to facilitate deployment of advanced services and promote competition in the advanced services marketplace. DATES: Comments are due on or before September 25, 1998 and reply comments are due on or before October 16, 1998. Written comments by the public on the proposed information collections are due September 23, 1998.
