The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. and will be facilitated by Mr. Francis X. Cameron, NRC's Special Counsel for Public Liaison and Agreement State Programs. This meeting will include a short presentation by the NRC staff on the decommissioning process, and a presentation by PECO Energy Company on the status of Peach Bottom Unit 1 and PECO Energy Company's plans to complete decommissioning of this facility. There will be an opportunity for members of the public to make comments and question the NRC staff and/or PECO Energy representatives. The public meeting will be transcribed. PECO Energy Company by letter dated March 27, 1998, submitted the Peach Bottom Unit 1 Updated Final Safety Analysis Report (FSAR) for NRC review. This FSAR (NUDOCS accession number 9804130097) describes the current condition of the facility. The Peach Bottom Unit 1 FSAR is available for public inspection at the Peach Bottom local public document room (LPDR) located at the Government Publications Section, State Library of Pennsylvania, (REGIONAL DEPOSITORY) Education Building, Walnut Street and Commonwealth Avenue, Box 1601, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania 17105, and at the Commission's Public Document Room located at the Gelman Building, 2120 L Street, NW, Washington, DC 20037.
