Colorado Interstate Gas Company; Notice of Filing of Refund 
Report

February 20, 1998.
    Take notice that on February 17, 1998, Colorado Interstate Gas 
Company (CIG), filed a refund report in Docket No. RP96-190-000.
    CIG states that the filing and refunds were made to comply with the 
Commission's Order of October 16, 1997. CIG states that these amounts 
were paid by CIG on December 15, 1997.
    CIG states that the refund report summarizes transportation and 
gathering refund amounts for the period October 1, 1996 through 
September 30, 1997, pursuant to Article 2.2 of CIG's Stipulation and 
Agreement as approved in the Commission's October 16, 1997 Order.
    CIG states that the copies of CIG's filing are being mailed to all 
holders of the tariff and to public bodies and that the filing is 
available for public inspection at CIG's offices in Colorado Springs, 
Colorado.
    Any person desiring to protest said filing should file a protest 
with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, 888 First Street, NE., 
Washington, DC 20426, in accordance with Section 385.211 of the 
Commission's Rules and Regulations. All such protests must be filed on 
or before February 27, 1998. All protests filed with the Commission 
will be considered by it in determining the appropriate action to be 
taken, but will not serve to make the protestants parties to the 
proceedings. Copies of this filing are on file with the Commission and 
are available for public inspection.
