Availability of the Gila Box Riparian National Conservation Area 
Management Plan, Safford Field Office, AZ.

AGENCY: Bureau of Land Management, Interior.

ACTION: Notice of Availability.

SUMMARY: The Safford Field Office, United States Department of the 
Interior, Bureau of Land Management has completed the Gila Box Riparian 
National Conservation Area Management Plan, Environmental Assessment, 
and Record of Decision. The Arizona Desert Wilderness Act of 1990 (Pub. 
L. 101-628) designated the Gila Box Riparian National Conservation Area 
(RNCA) in order to conserve, protect, and enhance its riparian areas 
and associated resources, and the aquatic, wildlife, archaeological, 
paleontological, scientific, cultural, recreational, educational, 
scenic, and other resources and values of such areas. The law also 
required the BLM to develop a comprehensive management plan. The Gila 
Box Management Plan, sets the management direction for the RNCA for the 
next 15 years. For a period of 30 days from the date of publication of 
this notice in the Federal Register, interested parties have the right 
of appeal pursuant to 43 Code of Federal Regulations, Part 4. Please
