[Federal Register Volume 63, Number 29 (Thursday, February 12, 1998)] [Notices] [Page 7154] From the Federal Register Online via the Government Publishing Office [www.gpo.gov] [FR Doc No: 98-3524] ----------------------------------------------------------------------- DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY Federal Energy Regulatory Commission [Project No. 1473-013-MT] Granite County, MT; Notice of Availability of Environmental Assessment February 6, 1998. An environmental assessment (EA) is available for public review. The EA is for an application to surrender the license for the Flint Creek Project, located on Flint Creek near the town of Philipsburg, in Granite and Deer Lodge Counties, Montana. The EA evaluates the environmental impacts that would result from the continued operation of the Flint Creek Dam and Georgetown Lake, and the retention of all existing hydropower facilities at the site. The EA finds that approval of the application would not constitute a major federal action significantly affecting the quality of the human environment. The EA was written by staff in the Office of Hydropower Licensing, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. Copies of the EA can be viewed at the Commission's Reference and Information Center, Room 2A, 888 First Street, N.E., Washington, DC 20426. Copies also may be obtained by calling the project manager, Regina Saizan, at (202) 219-2673. David P. Boergers, Acting Secretary. [FR Doc. 98-3524 Filed 2-11-98; 8:45 am] BILLING CODE 6717-01-M
