OMB Control number: 7100-0012
Effective Date: February 23, 1998.
Frequency: weekly and monthly
Reporters: money market mutual funds
Annual reporting hours: 5,580
Estimated average hours per response: 3 minutes (FR 2051a), 12 minutes
(FR 2051b)
Number of respondents: 1,500 (FR 2051a), 700 (FR 2051b)
Small businesses are affected.
General description of report: This information collection is
voluntary (12 U.S.C. 353 et seq.) and is given confidential treatment
(5 U.S.C. 552(b)(4)).
Abstract: These reports provide information on the assets of money
market mutual funds which the Federal Reserve System uses in the
construction of the monetary aggregates and for current analysis of
money market conditions and banking developments.
The Federal Reserve has reduced and simplified this information
collection. While the weekly FR 2051a is unchanged, the monthly FR
2051b report has been reduced by condensing six items into three. The
weekly FR 2051c and d reports have been discontinued.
Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, January 15,
1998.
William W. Wiles,
Secretary of the Board.
