AGENCY: National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), National Oceanic and 
Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Commerce.

ACTION: Notice of workshop.

SUMMARY: NMFS announces a workshop to explain provisions of the 1998 
recordkeeping and reporting requirements for the Alaska groundfish 
fisheries, introduce the proposed electronic reporting system, provide 
detailed instructions on completion and submittal of the required forms 
and logsheets, and answer questions on recordkeeping and reporting from 
members of the fishing industry and other interested parties.

DATES: January 6, 1998, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
