Name: ICD-9-CM Coordination and Maintenance (C&M) Committee
meeting.
Times and Dates: 9 a.m.-5 p.m. December 4, 1997; 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
December 5, 1997.
Place: The Health Care Financing Administration, Auditorium,
7500 Security Boulevard, Baltimore, Maryland.
Status: Open to the public. In the interest of security, non-
government employees must show a photo I.D., and sign-in to gain
entrance to the building.
Purpose: The ICD-9-CM Coordination and Maintenance Committee
will hold its final meeting of the 1997 cycle on Thursday, December
4 (Vol. 3 (Procedures)), and Friday, December 5 (Volumes 1 and 2
(Diagnosis)). The C&M meeting is a public forum for the presentation
of proposed modifications to the International Classification of
Diseases, Ninth-Revision, Clinical Modification.
Matters To Be Discussed: Agenda items will include:
Injury aftercare status
Palliative care
Ostomy complications
Late effects of CVA
Diabetes
Group B strep carrier status
Complications of artificial skin replacement
Update on ICD-10 Procedure Coding System
Platelet inhibitors
Artificial skin grafts
Stereotactic radiosurgery
Cardiomyostimulator
Percutaneous vascular puncture closure
Amniofusion
Injection or infusion of thrombolytic agent
