Western Gas Interstate Company; Notice of Proposed Changes in 
FERC Gas Tariff

October 10, 1997.
    Take notice that on September 26, 1997, Western Gas Interstate 
Company (WGI) tendered for filing as part of its FERC Gas Tariff, 
Fourth Revised Volume No. 1, Third Revised Sheet no. 10, to be 
effective October 1, 1997.
    WGI states that the purpose of this filing is to increase its 
Annual Charge Adjustment (ACA) unit rate from $0.0020 to $0.0022. The 
ACA rate is designed to recover the annual charge assessed by the 
Commission pursuant to Part 382 of the Regulations.
    WGI states that copies of the filing were served upon its customers 
and interested state commissions.
    Any person desiring to protest said filing should file a protest 
with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, 888 First Street, N.E., 
Washington, D.C., in accordance with Section 385.211 of the 
Commission's Rules and Regulations. All such protests must be filed in 
accordance with Section 154.210 of the Commission's Regulations. 
Protests will be considered by the Commission in determining the 
appropriate action to be taken, but will not serve to make the 
protestants parties to the proceeding. Copies of this filing are on 
file with the Commission and are available for public inspection in the 
Public Reference Room.
