    The Federal Communications Commission will hold an Open Meeting on 
the subjects listed below on Thursday, October 9, 1997, which is 
scheduled to commence at 9:30 a.m. in Room 856, at 1919 M Street, N.W.,

                                 action concerning service rules for the

                                 American Numbering Plan (CC Docket No. 
                                 92-237) and Toll Free Service Access   
                                 Codes (CC Docket No. 95-155).          
                                SUMMARY: The Commission will consider   
                                 action concerning the administrator of 
                                 the North American Numbering Plan, the 
                                 Billing and Collection Agent for       
                                 telecommunications numbering           
                                 administration, and administration of  
                                 the database containing toll free      
                                 numbers.
