Class Tuition Waiver

AGENCY: DoD, DoD Dependent Schools.

ACTION: Notice.

    The Assistant Secretary of Defense (Force Management Policy 
(ASD(FMP)) issued a memorandum dated April 30, 1997, establishing a 
class tuition waiver for space-available enrollment of command 
sponsored DoD children whose DoD sponsor permanently departs the 
overseas during the school year and thereby forfeits the children's 
eligibility for tuition-free enrollment during a school year. This 
notice is to notify affected persons of this waiver. This waiver is 
effective immediately and applies retroactively to any command 
sponsored child who has lost eligibility to tuition-free enrollment 
since December 1, 1996.
