Gas Transports, Inc.; Notice of Proposed Changes in FERC Gas 
Tariff

April 8, 1997.
    Take notice that on April 2, 1997, Gas Transport, Inc. (GTI) 
tendered for filing various tariff sheets to its FERC Gas Tariff, 
Second Revised Volume No. 1, with a proposed effective date of June 1, 
1997.
    GTI states that these tariff sheets reflect the requirements of 
Order No. 587, issued by the Commission in Docket No. RM96-1-000 on 
July 17, 1996.
    GTI states that copies of its filing were served upon its 
jurisdictional customers and the Regulatory Commissions of the states 
of Ohio and West Virginia.
    Any person desiring to be heard or to protest said filing should 
file a motion to intervene or protest with the Federal Energy 
Regulatory Commission, 888 First Street, N.E., Washington, D.C. 20426, 
in accordance with Rules 211 or 214 of the Commission's Rules of 
Practice and Procedure (18 CFR 385.214 or 385.211). All Such motions or 
protests must be filed on or before April 22, 1997. Protests will be 
considered by the Commission in determining the appropriate action to 
be taken but will not serve to make protestants parties to the 
proceeding. Any person wishing to become a party must file a motion to 
intervene. Copies of this filing are on file with the Commission and 
are available for public inspection.
