Currently, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms within the Department of the Treasury is soliciting comments concerning the Application For Extension of Time For Payment of Tax. Abstract: ATF uses this information to determine if a taxpayer is qualified to extend payment of tax based on circumstances beyond the taxpayer's control. The record retention requirement for this information collection is 3 years. Current Actions: The form has been renumbered to include all excise taxpayers. The name and address of the taxpayer has been added to the form to identify the applicant. The format of the form has been changed, however, no additional information is requested. The estimated time per respondent has been changed from 1 hour to 15 minutes, therefore, the total annual burden hours have decreased from 12 to 3. Type of Review: Extension. Affected Public: Business or other for-profit. Estimated Number of Respondents: 12. Estimated Time Per Respondent: 15 minutes. Estimated Total Annual Burden Hours: 3.
