Take notice that on February 28, 1997, Mississippi River Transmission Corporation (MRT) tendered for filing the following tariff sheets to Third Revised Volume No. 1 of its FERC Gas Tariff, with a proposed effective date of April 1, 1997: Twenty-Third Revised Sheet No. 5 Twenty-Third Revised Sheet No. 6 Twentieth Revised Sheet No. 7 MRT states that the purpose of this filing is to remove the Gas Supply Realignment Costs (GSRC) included in MRT's GSRC Reservation Surcharges and that portion of the GSRC included in the volumetric rates charged to MRT's ITS customers. MRT collects such GSRC pursuant to Section 16.3 of the General Terms and Conditions of its FERC Gas Tariff, Third Revised Volume No. 1, and the Base Stipulation and Agreement approved by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission in Docket Nos. RP93-4, RP94-68, and RP94-190. MRT states that a copy of this filing is being mailed to each of MRT's customers and to the state commissions of Arkansas, Illinois and Missouri. Any person desiring to be heard or to protest this filing should file a motion to intervene or protest with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, 888 First Street, NE., Washington, DC 20426, in accordance with 18 CFR 385.214 and 385.211 of the Commission's Rules and Regulations. All such motions or protests must be filed as provided in Section 154.210 of the Commission's Regulations. Protests will be considered by the Commission in determining the appropriate action to be taken, but will not serve to make protestants parties to the proceeding.
