Notice Pursuant to the National Cooperative Research and 
Production Act of 1993; Petroleum Environmental Research Forum 
(``PERF'') Project 95-01

    Notice is hereby given that, on October 31, 1996, pursuant to 
Section 6(a) of the National Cooperative Research and Production Act of 
1993, 15 U.S.C. 4301 et seq. (``the Act''), Petroleum Environmental 
Research Forum (``PERF'') Project 95-01, titled ``Advanced NDE for 
Piping Inspection,'' has filed written notifications simultaneously 
with the Attorney General and the Federal Trade Commission disclosing 
(1) the identities of the parties and (2) the nature and objectives of 
the venture. The notifications were filed for the purpose of invoking 
the Act's provisions limiting the recovery of antitrust plaintiffs to 
actual damages under specified circumstances. Pursuant to Section 6(b) 
of the Act, the identities of the parties are: Exxon Research and 
Engineering Company, Florham Park, NJ; Amoco Corp., Houston, TX; ARAMCO 
Services Company, Houston, TX; ARCO Products Company, Anaheim, CA; BP 
International PLC, Middlesex, UNITED KINGDOM; Chevron Research & 
Technology Company, Richmond, CA; Mobil Technology Company, Paulsboro,

NJ; Phillips Petroleum Company, Bartlesville, OK; and Sun Company, 
Inc., Linwood, PA. The nature and objective of the venture is to 
deliver piping inspection technology which is capable of inspecting, 
detecting and measuring corrosion on above ground piping and pipe 
supporters.
    Participation in this venture will remain open to all interested 
persons and organizations until the final Project Completion Date which 
is presently anticipated to occur approximately twenty-eight (28) 
months after the Project commences. The participants intend to file 
additional written notifications disclosing all changes in its 
membership. Information regarding participation in the project may be
