National Fuel Gas Supply Corporation; Notice of Tariff Filing

December 4, 1996.
    Take notice that on November 29, 1996, National Fuel Gas Supply 
Corporation (National) tendered for filing as part of its FERC Gas 
Tariff, Third Revised Volume No. 1, Sixteenth Revised Sheet No. 5A and 
Third Revised Sheet No. 29, with a proposed effective date of January 
1, 1997.
    National states that pursuant to Article III, Section 1, of the 
approved settlement at Docket Nos. RP94-367-000, et al., National is 
required to recalculate the maximum Firm Gathering (FG) rate annually 
to reflect: (a) the changes in the FG reservation determinants based on 
the FG throughput for the prior 12 months ended October 31; (b) an 
annual reduction of 2.5 percent in direct Operation and Maintenance 
Costs; (c) the costs resulting from operation of Sections 2 and 3 of 
Article III of the settlement; and (d) changes in the IG revenues to be 
subtracted from the Gathering Cost-of-Service based on the maximum IG 
rate in effect each month during the prior 12 months ended October 31 
times the IG throughput for that same period. The recalculation 
produced an FG rate of $7.22 per dth.
    Any person desiring to be heard or to protest said filing should 
file a motion to intervene or protest with the Federal Energy 
Regulatory Commission, 888 First Street N.E., Washington, D.C., 20426, 
in accordance with Sections 385.211 or 385.214 of the Commission's 
Rules of Practice and Procedure. All such motions or protests must be 
filed in accordance with Section 154.210 of the Commission's 
Regulations. Protests will be considered by the Commission in 
determining the appropriate action to be taken but will not serve to 
make protestants parties to the proceeding. Any person wishing to 
become a party must file a motion to intervene. Copies of this filing 
are on file with the Commission and are available for public 
inspection.
