[Declaration of Economic Injury Disaster Loan Area #9250]


Massachusetts (With Contiguous Counties in New Hampshire and 
Rhode Island); Declaration of Disaster Loan Area

    Barnstable, Bristol and Essex Counties and the contiguous counties 
of Dukes, Middlesex, Norfolk, Plymouth, and Suffolk in the State of 
Massachusetts; Hillsborough and Rockingham Counties in New Hampshire; 
and Bristol, Newport, and Providence Counties in Rhode Island 
constitute an economic injury disaster area as a result of a fishery 
resource disaster as determined by the Secretary of Commerce. The 
incident period of this disaster is from December 12, 1994 and 
continuing. Eligible small businesses without credit available 
elsewhere and small agricultural cooperatives without credit available 
elsewhere may file applications for economic injury assistance until 
the close of business on August 20, 1997 at the address listed below:

U.S. Small Business Administration, Disaster Area 1 Office, 360 Rainbow 
Blvd. South, 3rd Floor, Niagara Falls, New York 14303

or other locally announced locations. The interest rate for eligible 
small businesses and small agricultural cooperatives is 4 percent.
    The number assigned to this disaster for economic injury is 925000 
for the State of Massachusetts, 925100 for New Hampshire, and 9252 for 
Rhode Island.
