Exceptions to the Educational Requirements for Naturalization for 
Certain Applicants; Comment Period Extended

AGENCY: Immigration and Naturalization Service, Justice.

ACTION: Proposed rule; extension of comment period.

SUMMARY: On August 28, 1996, at 61 FR 44227-44230, the Immigration and 
Naturalization Service proposed a regulation noting exceptions to the 
educational requirements for naturalization for certain applicants. To 
ensure that the public has ample opportunity to fully review and 
comment on the proposed rulemaking, this notice extends the public 
comment period from September 27, 1996 through October 11, 1996.

DATES: Written comments must be submitted on or before October 11, 
1996.
