Non-Competitive Sale of Public Lands in Nye County, NV

AGENCY: Bureau of Land Management, Interior.

SUMMARY: The following described public land near the Town of Pahrump, 
Nye County, Nevada, has been examined and found suitable for sale 
utilizing non-competitive procedures, at not less than the fair market 
value. Authority for the sale is Section 203 and Section 209 of P.L. 
94-579, the Federal Land Policy and Management Act of 1976 (43 U.S.C. 
1719).

Mount Diablo Meridian, Nevada

T. 20 S., R. 54 E.
    Sec. 33: N\1/2\N\1/2\, N\1/2\SE\1/4\NW\1/4\, S\1/2\NE\1/4\, and 
NE\1/4\NW\1/4\SE\1/4\, containing 310 acres, more or less.

    The above described land, situated in Nye County, Nevada, is being 
offered as a direct sale to Rupert Bragg-Smith for the purpose of 
developing an advanced driving school. Only those lands north of State 
Route 160 would be sold. The land is not required for any Federal 
purpose. The conveyance is consistent with current Bureau planning for 
this area and would be in the public interest. The patent, when issued, 
will contain the following reservations to the United States:
    1. A right-of-way thereon for ditches or canals constructed by the 
authority of the United States, Act of August 30, 1890 (43 U.S.C. 945).
    2. Oil, gas, sodium, potassium, saleable minerals, and locatable 
minerals, if locatable minerals are present.

and will be subject to:
    1. An easement for roads, public utilities and flood control 
purposes as specified by Nye County and/or the Town of Pahrump.
    2. Valid existing rights.
    Detailed information concerning this action is available for review 
at the office of the Bureau of Land Management, Las Vegas District, 
4765 W. Vegas Drive, Las Vegas, Nevada 89108. Upon publication of this 
notice in the Federal Register, the above described land will be 
segregated from all other forms of appropriation under the public land 
laws, including the general mining laws, except for sales and disposals 
under the mineral disposal laws. This segregation will terminate upon 
issuance of a patent or 270 days from the date of this publication, 
whichever comes first.
    For a period of 45 days from the date of publication of this notice 
in the Federal Register, interested parties may submit comments 
regarding the proposed conveyance for classification of the lands to 
the District Manager, Las Vegas District, 4765 W. Vegas Drive, Las 
Vegas, NV 89108. Any adverse comments will be reviewed by the State 
Director who may sustain, vacate, or modify this realty action. In the 
absence of any adverse comments, this realty action will become the 
final determination of the Department of the Interior. The lands will 
not be offered for sale until at least 60 days after the date of 
publication of this notice in the Federal Register.
