Pacific Gas Transmission Co.; Notice of Proposed Change in FERC 
Gas Tariff

August 15, 1996.
    Take notice that on August 12, 1996, Pacific Gas Transmission 
Company (PGT) tendered for filing as part of its FERC Gas Tariff, First 
Revised Volume No. 1-A: Twelfth Revised Sheet No. 4 and Fourth Revised 
Sheet No. 4A, to become effective August 15, 1996.
    PGT asserts that the purpose of this filing is to terminate 
collection of its Gas Supply Restructuring Surcharge.
    PGT states that a copy of this filing has been served upon all 
jurisdictional customers and upon interest state regulatory agencies.
    Any person desiring to be heard or protest said filing should file 
a motion to intervene or protest with the Federal Energy Regulatory 
Commission, Washington, DC 20424, in accordance with Sections 385.214 
and 385.211 of the Commission's Rules of Practice and Procedure. All 
such motions or protests must be filed as provided in Section 154.210 
of the Commission's Regulations. Protests will be considered by the 
Commission in determining the appropriate action to be taken, but will 
not serve to make protestants parties to the proceeding. Any person 
wishing to become a party must file a motion to intervene. Copies of 
this filing are on file with the Commission and are available for 
public inspection in the Public Reference Room.
