AGENCY: Alaska Power Administration, DOE.

SUMMARY: Alaska Power Administration (APA) is extending the comment 
period nine (9) days on its proposal to adjust the rates for the 
Eklutna Project in the Federal Register on May 16, 1996. APA is also 
revising the effective date of the rate proposal from September 1, 1996 
to October 1, 1996. The May 16, 1996 Federal Register Notice requested 
a rate

change from 18.7 mills per kilowatt-hour fro firm energy and 10 mills 
per kilowatt-hour for non-firm energy to 8.8 mills per kilowatt-hour 
for both firm and nonfirm energy.

DATES: To be considered, comments and other input in response to the 
Federal Register notice published on May 16, 1996, need to be received 
by the Alaska Power Administration by close of business on August 23, 
1996.
