DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY
[Docket No. RP96-324-000]

West Texas Gas, Inc.; Notice for Limited Waiver

August 5, 1996.
Take notice that on July 31, 1996, West Texas Gas, Inc. (WTG)
tendered for filing with the Commission a request for a limited waiver
of Section 19.3 of its FERC Gas Tariff and the Commission's Regulations
to the extent necessary to permit it to file its annual PGA less than
60 days prior to the proposed effective date.
WTG states that its annual PGA filing, which is due to be effective
October 1, 1996, would require a filing date of August 1, 1996. WTG
requests that the Commission grant WTG a limited waiver of its tariff
to permit it to make its annual PGA filing on August 30, 1996, to be
effective October 1, 1996.
Any person desiring to be heard or to protest said filing should
file a motion

Rules 211 or 214 of the Commission's Rules of Practice and Procedure
(18 CFR 385.211 or 385.214). All such motions or protests must be filed
as provided in Section 154.210 of the Commission's Regulations.
Protests will be considered by the Commission in determining the
appropriate action to be taken but will not serve to make protestants
parties to the proceeding. Any person wishing to become a party must
file a motion to intervene. Copies of this filing are on file with the
Commission and are available for public inspection.
