AGENCY: Food Safety and Inspection Service, USDA.

ACTION: Reopening of comment period.

SUMMARY: The Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) is extending the 
comment period for the proposed rule, ``Performance Standards for the 
Production of Certain Cooked Meat and Poultry Products'' (61 FR 19564, 
May 2, 1996) for 60 days.

DATES: Comments must be received on or before September 9, 1996.
