Air Traffic Control Radar Beacon System and Mode S Transponder 
Requirements in the National Airspace System

AGENCY: Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), DOT.

ACTION: Notice of proposed rulemaking (NPRM); correction.

SUMMARY: This document contains a correction to the NPRM published in 
the Federal Register on May 23, 1996 (61 FR 26036). The NPRM proposes 
to rescind the Mode S transponder requirement for all aircraft 
operations under part 135 and certain aircraft operations under part 
121 of Title 14, Code of Federal Regulations.

DATES: Comments must be received on or before July 22, 1996.
