Take notice that on June 5, 1996, East Tennessee Natural Gas Company (East Tennessee) tendered for filing as part of its FERC Gas Tariff, Second Revised Volume No. 1, the following revised tariff sheets with a proposed effective date of July 1, 1996. First Revised Sheet No. 50 First Revised Sheet No. 51 Second Revised Sheet No. 52 First Revised Sheet No. 52A Second Revised Sheet No. 53 Second Revised Sheet No. 55 Original Sheet No. 55A Original Sheet No. 55B East Tennessee states that it is filing the instant tariff sheets to allow East Tennessee' customers to use their firm storage contracts with Tennessee Gas Pipeline Company (``Tennessee'') to manage the difference between scheduled and actual flows on a daily basis at East Tennessee's delivery points. East Tennessee states that it is filing revised tariff sheets so that it can test the proposed Swing Storage Option with a designated group of customers in a Pilot Program. After completion of the Pilot Program, East Tennessee will move to place the tariff sheets into effect on a systemwide basis or will propose modifications of those sheets based on actual operating experience. East Tennessee further states that Tennessee is making a filing simultaneously herewith setting forth the requirements during the Pilot Program to allow for downstream pipelines and their customers to use Tennessee's storage in a similar fashion. Any person desiring to be heard or to make any protest with reference to said filing should file a petition to intervene or protest with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, 888 First Street N.E., Washington, D.C. 20426, in accordance with Section 211 and 214 of the Commission's Rules of Practice and Procedure, 18 CFR 385.211 and 385.214. All such petitions or protests must be filed as provided in Section 154.210 of the Commission's Regulations. Protests will be considered by the Commission in determining the appropriate action to be taken, but will not serve to make protestants parties to this proceeding.
