ACTION: Announcement of funding awards.

SUMMARY: In accordance with section 102(a)(4)(C) of the Department of
Housing and Urban Development Reform Act of 1989, this announcement
notifies the public of funding decisions made by the Department in a
competition for funding under the Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA)
for Public and Indian Housing Tenant Opportunities Program Technical
Assistance Program. This announcement contains the names and addresses
of the awardees and the amount of the awards.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: The Public and Indian Housing Tenant
Opportunities Program Technical Assistance Program is authorized by
section 20, United States Housing Act of 1937 (42 U.S.C. 1437r); sec.
7(d), Department of Housing and Urban Development Act (42 U.S.C.
3535(d)).
The Fiscal Year 1994 competition was announced in a NOFA published
in the Federal Register on May 13, 1994 (59 FR 25248). The NOFA
announced the availability of $25 million to provide assistance to
resident grantees, including Resident Councils, Resident Management
Corporations, Resident Organizations, National Resident Organizations,
Statewide Resident Organizations, to fund training and other tenant
opportunities, such as the formation of such entities, identification
of the relevant social support needs, and securing of such support for
residents of public and Indian housing. Applications were scored and
selected for funding based on criteria contained in the Notice.
In accordance with section 102(a)(4)(C) of the Department of
Housing and Urban Development Reform Act of 1989 (Pub. L. 101-235,
approved December 15, 1989), the Department is hereby publishing the
names and addresses of the awardees that received funding under the
NOFA, and the amount of funds awarded to each. This information is
provided in Appendix A to this document.
