Notice Pursuant to the National Cooperative Research and
Production Act of 1993; National Center for Manufacturing Sciences,
Inc. (NCMS)
Notice is hereby given that, on February 16, 1996, pursuant to
Section 6(a) of the National Cooperative Research and Production Act of
1993, 15 U.S.C. 4301 et seq. (``the Act''), the National Center for
Manufacturing Sciences, Inc. (``NCMS'') has filed written notifications
simultaneously with the Attorney General and the Federal Trade
Commission disclosing changes in its membership. The notifications were
filed for the purpose of extending the Act's provisions limiting the
recovery of antitrust plaintiffs to actual damages under specified
circumstances. Specifically, the following companies were recently
accepted as active members of NCMS: AccuData, Inc., Jackson, MI;
Caterpillar Inc., Peoria, IL; Deformation Control Technology, Inc.,
Cleveland, OH; Eaton Corporation, Cleveland, OH; ICON Industrial
Controls Corporation, Shreveport, LA; IMPACT Engineering, Inc.,
Jackson, MI; J.P. Industrial, Inc., South Lyon, MI; Laserform, Inc.,
Auburn Hills, MI; Performance Controls, Inc., Horsham, PA; PolyCycle
Corporation, Towson, MD; and Viatec, Inc., Hastings, MI. In addition,
the following companies were recently accepted as affiliate members of
NCMS: The University of Texas at Austin, Manufacturing Systems Center,
Austin, TX; and High Performance Manufacturing Consortium, Kitchener,
Ontario, CANADA. The following companies have resigned from active
membership in NCMS: Advanced Quality Systems, Inc., Loves Park, IL;
Arrindell Associates, Orange, CA; BDM Technologies, Inc., McLean, VA;
Berkeley Process Control, Inc., Richmond, CA; Campbell Grinder Company,
Muskegon, MI; G.K.S. Inspection Services, Inc., Sterling Heights, MI;
Great Lakes Industry, Inc., Jackson, MI; Omni-Circuits, Inc., Glenview,
IL; Paradigm Shift International, Oakland, CA; Quest Integrated, Inc.,
Kent, WA; Sarcos, Inc., Salt Lake City, UT; and Thesis Group, Inc.,
Dallas, TX. The following organization has resigned from affiliate
membership in NCMS: Environmental Research Institute of Michigan, Ann
Arbor, MI.
No other changes have been made in either the membership or planned
activity of the group research project. Membership in this group
research project remains open, and NCMS intends to file additional
written

notification disclosing all changes in membership.
On February 20, 1987, NCMS filed its original notification pursuant
to Section 6(a) of the Act. The Department of Justice published a
notice in the Federal Register pursuant to Section 6(b) of the Act on
March 17, 1987 (52 FR 8375).
The last notification was filed with the Department on November 20,
1995. This notice has not yet been published in the Federal Register.
