The Meeting is scheduled from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. on March 14 and from 8 a.m.-12 p.m. on March 15. The NAC consists of fifty six national organizations and advises the Under Secretary for Health and other members of the Department of Veterans Affairs Central Office staff on how to coordinate and promote volunteer activities within VA facilities. The Executive Committee consists of nineteen representatives from the NAC member organizations and acts as the NAC governing body in the interim period between NAC Annual Meetings. Business topics for the Executive Committee meeting include: VAVS program progress ince the 1995 NAC Annual Meeting; 1996 and 1997 NAC Annual Meeting planning, process recommendations pending NAC approval at the 1996 Annual Meeting; VAVS 50th anniversary commemoration planning; and subcommittee reports. The meeting is open to the public.
