    The Department of Defense has submitted to OMB for clearance, the

    following proposal for collection of information under the provisions 
of the Paperwork Reduction Act (44 U.S.C. chapter 35).
    Title and OMB Control Number: DoD FAR Supplement, Part 215, 
Contracting by Negotiation, and Related Clauses at 252.215-7001 and 
252.215-7002; OMB Control Number 0704-0232.
    Type of Request: Extension.
    Number of Respondents: 199,440.
    Responses Per Respondent: 1.
    Annual Responses: 199,515.
    Average Burden Per Response: 5 hours.
    Annual Burden Hours: 910,500.
    Needs and Uses: This requirement provides for the collection of 
information necessary for the negotiation of contracts, and to perform 
cost estimating system surveys.
    Affected Public: Business or other for-profit; not-for-profit 
institutions.
    Frequency: On occasion.
    Respondent's Obligation: Required to obtain or retain benefits.
    OMB Desk Officer: Mr. Peter N. Weiss.
    Written comments and recommendations on the proposed information
