Notice Pursuant to the National Cooperative Research and
Production Act of 1993--Advanced Lead-Acid Battery Consortium

Notice is hereby given that, on May 17, 1995, pursuant to section
6(a) of the National Cooperative Research and Production Act of 1993,
15 U.S.C. 4301 et seq. (``the Act''), the Advanced Lead-Acid Battery
Consortium (``ALABC''), a discrete program of the International Lead
Zinc Research Organization, Inc. (``ILZRO''), has filed written
notifications simultaneously with the Attorney General and the Federal
Trade Commission disclosing the withdrawal of three members to the
ALABC. The notifications were filed for the purpose of extending the
Act's provisions limiting the recovery of antitrust plaintiffs to
actual damages under specified circumstances. Specifically, the ALABC
advised that Honda R&D; Wako R&D Center; and Electrotek Concepts, Inc.
have withdrawn from the ALABC.
No other changes have been made in either the membership or planned
activity of the ALABC. Membership in the ALABC remains open and the
ALABC intends to file additional written notification disclosing any
future changes in membership.
On June 15, 1992, the ALABC filed its original notification
pursuant to section 6(a) of the Act. The Department of Justice
published a notice in the Federal Register pursuant to section 6(b) of
the Act on July 29, 1992 (57 FR 33522).
The last notification was filed with the Department on February 17,
1995. A notice was published in the Federal Register pursuant to
section 6(b) on March 30, 1995 (60 FR 16504).
