ACTION: Notice of request for an extension to an existing OMB clearance (9000-0094). ----------------------------------------------------------------------- SUMMARY: Under the provisions of the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1980 (44 U.S.C. 3501), the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Secretariat has submitted to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) a request to review and approve an extension of a currently approved information collection requirement concerning Debarment and Suspension. Purpose The FAR requires contracts to be awarded to only those contractors determined to be responsible. Instances where a firm or its principals have been indicted, convicted, suspended, proposed for debarment, debarred, or had a contract terminated for default are critical factors to be considered by the contracting officer in making a responsibility determination. This certification would require the disclosure of this information. B. Annual Reporting Burden Public reporting burden for this collection of information is estimated to average 30 minutes per subcontractor and 5 minutes per prime contractor per response, including the time for reviewing instructions, searching existing data sources, gathering and maintaining the data needed, and completing and reviewing the collection of information.
