SUMMARY: The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA or Agency) gives
notice of the State contacts for the Hotel and Motel Fire Safety Act
national master list. The offices or officials listed are responsible
for compiling the respective State listings of properties which comply
with the Hotel and Motel Fire Safety Act, and should be contacted
directly for any changes to the national master list.
EFFECTIVE DATE: September 30, 1994.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: Acting under the Hotel and Motel Fire Safety
Act of 1990, 15 U.S.C. 2201 note, the United States Fire Administration
has worked with each State to compile a national master list of all of
the places of public accommodation affecting commerce located in each
State that meet the requirements of the guidelines under the Act. FEMA
published the national master list in the Federal Register on Tuesday,
November 24, 1992, 57 FR 55314, and makes periodic changes to the list.
Each State and Territory or other participating jurisdiction is
responsible for compiling its respective listings of properties which
comply with the Hotel and Motel Fire Safety Act. If you own or
represent a property in compliance with the Act, and want to include
the property in the national master list or to make an addition,
deletion, or other change to a listing on the national master list,
please contact the appropriate office in the State or jurisdiction
where the property is located.
Copies of the national master list and its updates may be obtained
by writing to the Government Printing Office, Superintendent of
Documents, Washington, DC 20402-9325. When requesting copies please
refer to stock number 069-001-00049-1.
