Approval of Final Management Plan for the Apalachicola National
Estuarine Research Reserve
AGENCY: Sanctuaries and Reserves Division, Office of Ocean and Coastal
Resource Management, National Ocean Service, National Oceanic and
Atmospheric Administration, Department of Commerce.
ACTION: Notice of availability of final management plan.

SUMMARY: Notice is hereby given that the Sanctuaries and Reserves
Division (SRD), Office of Ocean and Coastal Resource Management, has
approved the final management plan for the Apalachicola National
Estuarine Research Reserve.
The Apalachicola National Estuarine Research Reserve was designated
in 1979. Pursuant to the Coastal Zone Management Act and implementing
regulations, the Florida Department of Environmental Protection in
conjunction with SRD staff has produced a five-year management plan
that provides a course of action for managing the site from 1994
through 1998.
