They are used by the Department to evaluate the PHAs/IHAs' annual operating budget. Description Of The Need For The Information And Its Proposed Use: Section 235 of the Housing and Urban Rural Recovery Act of 1983 limits the period of assistance for mortgages insured under this program to ten years. Therefore, all assistance payments disbursed under this program must be monitored by HUD.
