Agency for Health Care Policy and Research; Meeting

    In accordance with section 10(a) of the Federal Advisory Committee 
Act (Title 5, U.S.C., Appendix 2) announcement is made of the following 
special emphasis panel scheduled to meet during the month of August 
1994:

    Name: Health Care Policy and Research Special Emphasis Panel.
    Date and Time: August 18, 1994, 9:30 a.m.
    Place: Holiday Inn Crowne Plaza, 1750 Rockville Pike, Conference 
Room TBA, Rockville, Maryland 20852.
    Open August 18, 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Closed for remainder of 
meeting.
    Purpose: This Panel is charged with conducting the initial 
review of grant applications related to research on care for persons 
with AIDS/HIV diseases.
    Agenda: The open session of the meeting on August 18 from 9:30 
a.m. to 10:00 a.m. will be devoted to a business meeting covering 
administrative matters. During the closed session, the committee 
will be reviewing complex and detailed grant applications dealing 
with (1) cost and financing of HIV/AIDS treatments and services; (2) 
organization and delivery of services; (3) characteristics and 
interactions of providers and patients; (4) comorbidity, and (5) 
special populations. In accordance with the Federal Advisory 
Committee Act, Title 5, U.S.C., Appendix 2 and Title 5, U.S.C., 
552b(c)(6), the Administrator, AHCPR, has made a formal 
determination that this latter session will be closed because the 
discussions are likely to reveal personal information concerning 
individuals associated with the grant applications. This information 
is exempt from mandatory disclosure.
