ACTION: Notice of exemption. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- SUMMARY: Pursuant to 49 U.S.C. 10505, the Commission exempts noncarrier holding company Tarantula Corporation (Tarantula) from the prior approval requirements of 49 U.S.C. 11343-11344 for its continuance in control of Fort Worth & Dallas Belt Railroad Company (FW&DB) on FW&DB's becoming a class III rail carrier. FW&DB is acquiring rail line from the St. Louis Southwestern Railway Company. Tarantula currently controls class III rail carriers Fort Worth & Western Railroad Company and Fort Worth & Dallas Railroad Company. The exemption is subject to employee protective conditions. DATES: This exemption is effective on August 25, 1994. Petitions for stay must be filed by August 5, 1994. Petitions to reopen must be filed by August 15, 1994.
