National Recreational Trails Advisory Committee; Public Meeting

AGENCY: Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), DOT.

ACTION: Notice of public meeting.

SUMMARY: The FHWA announces a public meeting of the National 
Recreational Trails Advisory Committee, as authorized by the National 
Recreational Trails Fund Act (the Act) (sections 1301 through 1303 of 
the Intermodal Surface Transportation Efficiency Act of 1991; Pub. L. 
102-240, 105 Stat. 1914, 2064). The focus of the meeting will be to 
review the utilization of National Recreational Trails funds by States, 
and make recommendations for changes in Federal policy to advance the 
purposes of the Act. Discussion topics will include project planning, 
streamlining the project development process, alternative funding 
sources for State trail programs, and trail research.

DATES: The meeting will be August 24, 1994, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. 
m.t., and August 25, 1994, from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. The meeting is open 
to the public.
