for Worker Adjustment Assistance

In accordance with section 223 of the Trade Act of 1974 (19 U.S.C.
2273) the Department of Labor issued a Certification of Eligibility to
Apply for Worker Adjustment Assistance applicable to all workers of The
Western Company of North America, headquartered in Houston, Texas. The
certification notice was issued on July 30, 1992 and published in the
Federal Register on August 18, 1992 (58 FR 37173).
At the request of the State Agency, the Department reviewed the
certification for workers of the subject firm. The investigation
findings show that some of the claimants' wages for The Western Company
of North America were reported under a UI tax account for Western
Oceanic Services, Inc. in Houston, Texas.
Accordingly, the Department is amending the certification to
properly reflect the correct worker group.
