Postponement of Preliminary Antidumping Duty Determination: 
Certain Cased Pencils From Thailand

AGENCY: Import Administration, International Trade Administration, 
Commerce.

EFFECTIVE DATE: April 4, 1994.

POSTPONEMENT: On November 30, 1993, the Department of Commerce (the 
Department) initiated an antidumping duty investigation of certain 
cased pencils from Thailand. The notice stated that we would issue our 
preliminary determination on or before April 19, 1994 (58 FR 64548 
December 8, 1993). On March 9, 1994, petitioners requested that the 
Department postpone its preliminary determination by 50 days in 
accordance with 19 CFR 353.15(c). As there is no compelling reason to 
deny the request, the Department is granting the request and postponing 
the preliminary determination until June 8, 1994.
    The U.S. International Trade Commission is being advised of this 
postponement in accordance with section 733(f) of the Tariff Act of 
1930, as amended (the Act).
    This notice is published pursuant to section 733(c)(2) of the Act 
and 19 CFR 353.15(d).
