Travel and Tourism Advisory Board; Board Meeting

    Pursuant to section 10(a)(2) of the Federal Advisory Committee Act, 
5 U.S.C. (app. 1976) notice is hereby given that the Travel and Tourism 
Advisory Board of the U.S. Department of Commerce will convene on April 
7, 1994, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., in Los Angeles, California. The meeting 
will be held at the Los Angeles Convention Center, 1201 S. Figueroa 
Street.
    From 8:30 a.m.-12 p.m., the Board will conduct a California Tourism 
Summit to address the role of the Federal Government in tourism 
development in California. The Board will conduct its business meeting 
from 2-5 p.m. in the same location. Members advise the Secretary of 
Commerce on matters pertinent to the Department's responsibilities to 
accomplish the purpose of the National Tourism Policy Act (Public Law 
97-63), and provide guidance to the Under Secretary for Travel and 
Tourism.

    A number of seats will be available to observers from the public 
and press. To assure adequate seating, individuals intending to attend 
should notify the Committee Control Officer in advance. The public will 
be permitted to file written statements with the Committee Control 
Officer before or after the meeting.
