AGENCY: National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS). NOAA, Commerce.

ACTION: Issuance of scientific research permit No. 877 (P321B).


SUMMARY: Notice is hereby given that Mr. Sherman C. Jones, III, 4001 
Santa Maria Drive, Chesapeake, VA 23321, has been issued a permit to 
take Atlantic bottlenose dolphins (Turisops truncatus) for purposes of 
scientific research.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: On December 7, 1992, notice was published in 
the Federal Register (57 FR 59980) that a request for a scientific 
research permit to take Atlantic bottlenose dolphins (Trusiops 
truncatus) has been submitted by the above-named individual. The 
requested permit has been issued under the authority of the Marine 
Mammal Protection Act of 1972, as amended (16 U.S.C. 1361 et seq.), and 
the Regulations Governing the Taking and Importing of Marine Mammals 
(50 CFR part 216).
