ACTION: The Department of State has resubmitted the following public information collection requirement to OMB for review and clearance under the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1980, 44 U.S.C. chapter 35. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- SUMMARY: Section 203(c) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (8 U.S.C. 1153(c)) provides for a diversity immigrant visa program. Form DSP-122, Supplemental Registration for the Diversity Immigrant Visa Program, is designed to elicit information necessary to ascertain the eligibility of an applicant under section 203(c) of the Act. The following summarizes the information collection proposal submitted to OMB: Type of request--New. Originating office--Bureau of Consular Affairs. Title of information collection--Supplemental Registration for the Diversity Immigrant Visa Program. Form No.--DSP-122. Frequency--Annually. Respondents--Alien applicants for the diversity immigrant visa program. Estimated number of respondents--1,000,000. Average hours per response--30 minutes. Total estimated burden hours--50,000. Public notice 1925, Proposed Rule for 22 CFR 42.33 implementing section 203(c) of the Immigration and Nationality Act will be published in the Federal Register.
