Disabilities Prevention Program Project; Workshop

    The National Center for Environmental Health (NCEH) of the Centers 
for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announces the following 
meeting.
    Name: Disabilities Prevention Program Project Workshop.
    Times and dates: 10 a.m.-5 p.m., January 23, 1994, 8:30 a.m.-4 
p.m., January 24, 1994, 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., January 25, 1994.
    Place: Swissotel Atlanta, 3391 Peachtree Road, NE., Atlanta, 
Georgia 30326.
    Status: The meeting will be open to the public for observation, 
participation, and comment, limited only by the space available.
    Purpose: The project workshop will provide a forum for 
presentations and discussions about primary and secondary disabilities, 
public health methods for prevention of disabilities, and current and 
future program priorities. In addition, individualized technical 
assistance related to project issues will be available to grantees upon 
request.
    Matters to be discussed: The workshop will include discussions of 
secondary conditions, surveillance for developmental disabilities, 
surveillance for head and spinal cord injuries, community 
interventions, State strategic plans, and project management issues.
