EASX Railroad Corporation--Purchase and Operation Exemption--CSX 
Transportation, Inc., Line in Pennsylvania

AGENCY: Interstate Commerce Commission.

ACTION: Notice of exemption.

SUMMARY: Under 49 U.S.C. 10505, the Commission exempts from the 
regulatory requirements of 49 U.S.C. 11343, et seq., the purchase and 
operation by EASX Railroad Corporation (EASX) of a line of CSX 
Transportation, Inc., and two of its affiliates, Allegheny and Western 
Railway Company and Buffalo, Rochester and Pittsburgh Railway Company, 
subject to standard labor protective conditions. The line, known as the 
``Sample Spur'', is 0.7 mile long and located in New Castle, PA.

DATES: This exemption is effective on February 3, 1994. Petitions to 
stay must be filed January 19, 1994. Petitions to reopen must be filed 
by January 24, 1994.
