Saudi Arabia/Commercial Transit Through the Strait of Hormuz
Q. Can you stop for a moment, sir?
There are new concerns with Saudi Arabia and movement in the Strait. What are you hearing about that? Have you talked to the Crown Prince? And can you help move traffic through?
The President. Everything will work out just fine. It's all going to work out fine.
United Kingdom/North Sea Energy Resources
Q. Mr. President, the Irish are paying 40 percent more for home heating oil than they were before the war. What is your message to them?
The President. Well, I think what happens if they open up—if you opened up in the U.K. the North Sea, your prices will tumble. As soon as they open up the great North Sea, and they haven't—one of the most valuable sites in the world—when that's open, your prices are going to go way down.
Thank you very much.
NOTE: The President spoke at 10 a.m. at the Áras an Uachtaráin, the official residence of the President of Ireland. A reporter referred to Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abd al-Aziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia. Portions of these remarks could not be verified because the audio was incomplete.
