The Committee on Rules, having had under consideration
House Resolution 1489, by a non-record vote, report the same to
the House with the recommendation that the resolution be
adopted.
SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS OF THE RESOLUTION
The resolution waives clause 6(a) of rule XIII (requiring a
two-thirds vote to consider a rule on the same day it is
reported from the Rules Committee) against certain resolutions
reported from the Rules Committee. The rule applies the waiver
to any resolution reported on the legislative day of September
24, 2008, providing for consideration or disposition of a
measure to provide incentives for energy production and
conservation, to extend certain expiring provisions, to provide
individual income tax relief, and for other purposes.
