                       [To accompany H. Res. 508]

    The Committee on Rules, having had under consideration 
House Resolution 508, by a nonrecord vote, report the same to 
the House with the recommendation that the resolution be 
adopted.

               Brief summary of provisions of resolution

    The resolution provides that a suspension offered by the 
Majority Leader or his designee will be in order on Friday, 
August 2, 1996, relating to the subject of combating terrorism.
